Headed out into the wild wild east tomorrow, to Joseph Oregon...going to enjoy some high desert wedding bells and small town fireworks (that I hear are actually pretty incredible). Can't wait to see what is in store. See you next week.
Hanged up! My flag, on the wall. That thing is a monster. And it already won me a show in Decemeber, how exciting. More later!

On Saturday, we went to the Sandy River, which is 20 minutes away. I have lived here for 10 years and never been...glad I can't say that anymore! And! We ate at Tad's. Chicken AND Dumplings. Delish.

(Thanks D, for sharing your shots.)

David Rodigan, born 24 June 1951 on a military base in Germany, is a British radio DJ who also performs as a selector for his soundsystem, known for his selections of reggae and dancehall.

He has stated that his passion for Jamaican music was initiated by watching Millie Small perform her hit My Boy Lollypop on the Ready Steady Go! TV show as a school boy. By the age of 15, David Rodigan was DJing at school dances and youth clubs. Leaving school in 1970, he spent a year studying economics before leaving to study drama. Despite pursuing an acting career, Rodigan kept his passion for music alive, selling records in Oxford then Putney, before obtaining a jobon Radio London in 1978 to alternate with Tony Williams on the Reggae Rockers programme. A year later he was offered a permanent slot at Capital Radio to present Roots Rockers, which ran for 11 years.

"Everybody's talking, nobody's listening. It's all about the music from King Tubbys Echo Chamber in Western Kingston, to the Dubstep phenomena out of London. Who's hot and who's not, we don't care. Dark rooms with heavy basslines full of fans who are only there for the music, and selectors who not only play it but create it, are you listening? Because Caspa's playing."

Summer solstice picnic last night at The Bluffs, overlooking industrial Portland and the river. There were dogs, friends, wine, fresh picked strawberries from Sauvie Island, homemade sushi rolls, and a fantastic sunset that pushed through the threat of rain. A wonderful time was had...thanks B for putting it all together. Here's to hoping for many more evenings lazing about in the meadow up there.
