Scary movies have historically not been my thing, but being partnered up with someone who does things like rent the entire Friday The 13th series within a couple of weeks to rewatch them all in a row, my perspective has been shifting a little. This came out in limited release last night, sadly not in my town. Doesn't it look fantastic? The posters are awesome, the film stock is grainy, the story looks creepy as hell (pun intended). I'll be waiting for this one. Happy Halloween!

The Neal Creek Residence designed by Paul McKean, just outside Hood River, lent to us for the weekend as a late wedding present/honeymoon we never took. And more happy news is that this weekend is the Hood River Apple Festival! Pies will be made, photos to follow. See you Monday!

I know I have been blog-lazy, but I have been real-life busy, getting ready for the Content 09 event that took place at the Ace Hotel yesterday. Portland designers filled the rooms on the second floor and had free reign to do as they wished...some rooms were almost showrooms, some were more tableaus...

My room was the most, um, conceptual, with a video installation of my blocky head pieces and an appliqued geometric bedspread and a hand laid floor pattern. I played Manuel Gottsching's E2-E4 for the whole 5 hours (that's only 5 times, if you were counting). Not sure if the mood reached the crowds, I was kind of shocked that my floor installation was quickly ruined by rude feet tromping on it, but I really like what I made, and was proud to show it.
